Sinus Infections are the leading winter complaint, especially in dry areas like Colorado. Suffering from a sinus infection can be devastating for those who tend to vulnerable to sinus problems. I was once called into an emergency surgery for a 30 year old man who had suddenly fallen into a coma. Turns out he had a giant booger behind his frontal sinuses which had grown so big, it displaced part of his brain causing a severe increase in intracranial pressure and subsequent coma. After removing the giant mucous plug (booger), we took fat from his belly to cushion the brain because the booger had compressed the brain so much, it left a giant place in his skull where the booger had been. The best way to treat a sinus infection?
